Tapping M3 threads didn't work well → we had to drill the top clamp to enlarge holes for M4 tapping → top clamp cracked. Problems in version three were mostly due to the M3 bolts. However the NEMA 17 stepper motor still doesn't have enough torque to spin the pump. Pump works with hand cranking and is a lot easier to spin than version two. Third version for the smaller 3mm silicone tube has an adjustable top clamp to adjust tube tension (makes inserting the tube much easier compared to version two). Getting the silicone tube into the pump was also difficult). Second version of the pump for the 5mm silicone tube (pump functioned with hand cranking, but stepper is too weak to drive the pump.
